‏العلم : Hadeeth No:6468 Jarir b. 'Abdullah reported Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: The servant does not introduce good practice which is followed after him.... The rest of the hadith is the same....

‏البر والصلة والآداب‏ : Hadeeth No:6235 'Abdullah reported: I visited Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as he was running high temperature. I touched his body with my bard and said to him: Allaah's Messenger, you are running high temperature, whereupon Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Yes, it is so. ...
